    CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Using the Atlantic Coast Conference’s largest media event of the year as his platform, Cam Phillips displayed a large portion of his personality Friday, showing up at the two-day ACC Football Kickoff event in an outfit that media members widely proclaimed as the best among the players from both the league’s Atlantic and Coastal Divisions.

    BLACKSBURG – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced early-season football kickoff times on Wednesday, and Tech’s home opener against Delaware on Sept. 9 and the Hokies’ road opener at East Carolina on Sept. 16 will both kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Delaware game will be televised by ACC Network and the ECU game will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network.

Here’s a look at the four Virginia Tech players who were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, plus Hokies who are anticipated to be officially signed as free agents. With NFL squads slated to begin three-day rookie camps as soon as May 5, there is the possibility that other Hokies could be signed or invited to those camps on a tryout basis.

    GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN announced Thursday that Virginia Tech’s opening football game of the 2018 season will take place at Florida State on Labor Day, Sept. 3 at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. ESPN will televise the contest to a national audience in primetime that night.
